New cards

I have been making some card sets that can be used for Birthdays.

Here they are all packaged up.

These are the last of my Christmas cards for 2009! You can click on any pic to enlarge.

Hope you enjoy!

I am planning some new card workshops for 2010, which includes new ways to package them. Makes them easier for gift giving (if you can part with them).

May your days be blessed.

Butterflies in Flight

This is just one card shown at different angles. I cut this out, used foam tape to add the 3-D effect and mounted it upon co-ordinating card stock.

Wanted to show you the depth and dimension of the wings and the flowers.

I added a frame of gold to enhance the overall look.

Of course I added glitter (stickles) to the wings. Don't be afraid of handling this beauty because of the glitter. The glitter is in the glue so it all stays on the card where you place it, not on you hands or clothing.

This is SO much prettier in person! Believe me. LOL. Don't we all say that?

If you would like to purchase this card or others, email me or comment on this post. I will get back to you ASAP.

May you have a blessed day.

Christmas Cards

Soon the Christmas rush will be upon us. The trees will be up and decorated, the children will be unable to sleep for the excitement of what Santa will bring. And we will be feverishly finishing up all the last minute details for the BIG DAY. Have you got your cards ready and sent out? Or do you want a special card to go with the special gift you got your Aunt Mabel? You are in luck, I have some done and ready to go!

Take a look at these beauties. I cut them out, placed foam tape for dimension, and glittered where needed (using Stickles, so the glitter will stay ON the card and not on your hands), and embossed the card stock. There you have it.

If you would like to purchase these, email me or leave a comment on this post and I will get back with you ASAP.

Hope you have a fun-filled Thanksgiving! God bless!

Butterfly cards

Here are my butterfly cards. I cut them all out, embossed the wings, used foam tape for the 3-d effect, embossed the card stock for the fronts, added some greetings and this is my results. Hope you like them.

If you are having a hard time seeing these pictures, just click on it to enlarge.

Since purple is my favorite color, I really love these beauties.

I am sure I will be making more of these.

If you would like to purchase these, email me, or comment on this blog. I will get back to you ASAP.

These make great gifts!

I'm back!

Finally got a new monitor! Yippee! You know it is suprising how dependant I have become to my computer! I can remember when I was a teenager, when the phone was out from the bad storms we had as child, I felt lost when I was unable to contact my friends whenever I wanted.

Now I feel that way about my computer. I can contact anyone anywhere in the world now. Or look stuff up whenever needed. Wow! I wonder what my grandkids will be doing in their 40's? How will they be communicating with each other?

Okay, Kathy, back to the present. I do have some cards to post. First I have to get them on the computer to show what I have been up to.

Back in a jiffy!

Yes I am still alive!

Unfortunately, my monitor is not! I will not be able to post any cards until I can get a new one or refurbished one. So until then, may your days be many and very blessed.

What I have been up to

This is what I have been up to lately. Cutting out, placing foam tape between each layer to give the 3-D affect. Using some gold/silver border stickers to enhance the card. I even used stickles to make the wings of the butterfly to make them glittery.

Here is another view of the dimension. Butterflies seem to be my favorite!

Same butterfly, different paper for the background. Too bad the glitter doesn't show in the photos like they do in real life!

Another close up to show the dimension.

This is a workshop I offer (email me if you are interested in the kit, or want finished cards), with (be still my heart) butterflies! Count them, seven! These would be great for any occassion.

Thank you for stopping by, and may you have a blessed day!

Just a couple of cards

Here I have 2 beauties, The morning glory is colored with Prisma Pencils and blended with a stump. The saying on the inside can be seen when you click onto the picture.

Here is the front of the card. Not too bad for a novice, if I must say so myself.

This card is using a used dryer sheet and glitter. Really looks better in person. LOL. Don't we all say that?

These cards sell for $3.50 each. If you would like to know how to do these cards and others, come on over for a card class.

Thanks for stopping by my little world.

I am still alive . . .

And well, although you wouldn't know it.

I am still creating cards and working on workshops. I have my card workshops in Thorndike at the Scrap-N-Yak-Shack Thursdays from 10am to 3pm. Interested? Call for more details 207-570-8282.

Happy Mother's Day card

Here is a Mother's Day Card that measures 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches. This card has a matching envelopebox included. You may click on the photo to enlarge it.

When you untie the ribbon the card unfolds and shows not two sides on the inside but 4 sides. You can even add photos to this if you desire.

The greetings and the butterflies were stamped and colored with spica markers, which gives a sparkly shimmer to them. These photos do not do it justice, lots prettier in person.

The cost of this one is $7.50, with shipping extra.

This is the perfect card for the Mother in your life. If you are interested in this or any other card, please email me at katsscrapping@yahoo.com. I check my mail at least twice a day, so I will get back to you as soon as I read it.

Thank you for stopping by.

I'm back!

Finally! Whew! What a chore that was! So I finally called HP helpline only to find out the warrenty and expired over a year ago! Pretty cool I didn't need any help or parts since then. So, I ordered the parts and help for a year, and got the help I needed. It was about 4 hours and the problem was worked out.

Now all I have to do is upload photos of my cards, which will have to wait for another day or two. I have several things on my plate before I can do this. I will explain and show photos later.

I am now an instructor at the A.C. Moore in Bangor, starting in April. Yippee! I have more irons in the works as well and will tell you about them when the plans firm up.

Right now I have to get ready for a card workshop tomorrow, and for a crop this Saturday in Searsmont.

Have a blessed day

MIA

Sorry I have been MIA for awhile. My computer thinks it has a counterfeit Windows program. I have not had the time to call for directions on fixing the program, and I figure I will need at least an hour or two (maybe even more) of uninterrupted time to resolve this issue. Since I am not a computer techie (oh how I wish I was) it could end up being an all day thing. Groan!

When I get this thing up and running again, I can show pictures of the latest cards I have been creating.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day.

Pink on pink

Pink flowers on pink card stock. This card measures 4 1/4 inches by 6 inches, comes with a envelopebox (because of the dimension of the flowers). The pink card stock is pierced, and the flowers are placed on an oval of pink with a mat of white. Pink half pearls are placed in the corners for a finishing touch.

Here is the side view to show the depth.

Yet another view of the front to show some of the details of this beautiful card.

The inside has a soft pink designer paper with a pearl finish. Looks really elegant and would be a beautiful card to show someone how special they are.

Here is another photo of the front of the card.
This card is $6.95 with additional shipping. If you are interested or have questions, email me and I will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Thank you for looking and have a blessed day

Hope

I have been busily working on numerous cards (for which I have NO pictures! Gasp) for someone this week, and it seems like the more I do, the more ideas I have for new ones.

Lots of times I will dream designs in my sleep (please tell me I am NOT the only one). Last night was a different kind of card. I do believe it was for me.

Let me tell you a little about my story first, so you will understand the importance of my dream.

Last month, my husband lost his job as his boss closed down the place where he was working. So not only did my hubby lose his job so did about 20 other people. While I believe that God has a plan for us, I still felt we were on shaky ground. You see, I do not work outside the home, the only income I have is my scrap booking and card making. I have yet to earn enough to support us with it.

Alright, so now back to my dream. I was making inspirational cards. On this one in particular I was making my own paper for this one card. I made up some red, yellow, blue, and green paper pulp to mold paper into letters. The red became the letter E, the yellow the letter P, the blue H and the green the letter O. While I was waiting for the letters to dry, I made a huge card to put the letters on. This was to be the largest card I have ever made, roughly about 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches. I was arranging the now dry letters onto the card to audition where I wanted the them to go. I stood back to get a better look at what I had done, and what do you think I saw there? In colorful letters large enough for me to see without my glasses, I saw the word HOPE. Hope! Well I smiled to myself and looked up to the heavens and told God, thank you. He was giving me hope! What a nice warm feeling that brings to my soul.

May you be blessed each and every day.

Hello out there!

Yes it is me, Kathy, the owner of this blog, wanting to apologize for not posting regularly. I have been busy creating (just check out my other blog http://katsscrapping.blogspot.com/ ) where you will be able to see all the creations I am currently working on.

If you see a card on either blog you are interested in purchasing, please feel free to email me. I have been very busy filling commitments to several people, which leads to a lack of posting here. So sorry for that folks! I am working on a better organized work space to increase productivity, which will in turn give me more free time to post here. At least that is my theory!

Be blessed.
